“My dentist said I need a crown. I was like, I know, right?”

Sometimes you need to kick back and have a little fun.
Here at Mindful Change, we talk a lot about personal growth, and we don’t sugar-coat it—personal growth often means hard work.
However, that doesn’t mean that life is hard. Or at least, it doesn’t mean that it has to be.
Even during the times when you’re working hard (and smart!) to improve your life, it’s important to enjoy the process, laugh, play, and have some fun.
Go to the park and swing.
Blow bubbles.
Sing.
Dance around your house.
Call up an old friend.
Try some laugh therapy.
Enjoy a bubble bath.
Whatever it is that makes your heart happy and your soul sing, do some of it. Every day.
“Just came home from a training session. Two hours on the treadmill did me really good. If only I could somehow stop the constant beeping and the irritated comments of the cashier.”
~ From short-funny
Something as simple as smiling at a stranger can change your life for the better. They might be a potential best friend, significant other, or business connection. But even if they remain a stranger, at least someone smiled at them.
It feels good to have someone smile at you, doesn’t it?
Once a week, do something kind for someone without having them find out. Pay for the coffee of the next person in line. Order (and pay for) a pizza for the family next door and have it delivered when you know they’re home. Take something you no longer wear to a donation center.
Hide love notes around the house for your significant other and kids. Sometimes even you will forget they’re there and can enjoy the surprise of finding it.
The things listed above are simple things. But strung together throughout a lifetime, they create joy and build relationships that leave you feeling happy, loved, and fulfilled.
What’s better than that?
